Gas gangrene, a severe bacterial infection once associated with World War I trench warfare, has reappeared in Ukraine. Volunteer doctors working in eastern Ukraine say they are treating an increasing number of patients showing symptoms “that no living doctor has ever seen under wartime conditions.”
The infection, caused by Clostridium bacteria, spreads rapidly in oxygen-deprived, damaged muscle tissue, particularly after gunshot or blast injuries. Gas gangrene develops when bacteria infect wounds that cannot be treated immediately.
The bacteria produce toxins and gas bubbles under the skin, leading to severe pain, swelling of the tissue, and discoloration. The movement of trapped gas creates a distinctive crackling sound under the skin, one of the hallmarks of the disease. Unlike conventional gangrene, which develops slowly due to poor circulation, gas gangrene spreads quickly and can be fatal without immediate treatment.
Reading such news is horrifying — it tightens one’s chest. I can picture the suffering soldiers, and my hands clench into fists in anger. I feel deep sorrow for the affected soldiers, who were forced into this war — and into these trenches — by the globalist power structure operating behind the scenes.
